In December, the Pavillon de l'Arsenal, a cultural venue around town planning, will close for two years of work, carried out by the architects of the Data agency and financed by the town hall, owner of the premises. During this period, the institution will install its temporary exhibitions in different locations in the capital and in other European cities.

At the beginning of February, the car park located under the Notre-Dame square will host an exhibition on the sacred places of Greater Paris, the first “outside the walls” in a long series, inaugurated in the wake of the reopening of Notre-Dame-de- Paris. The following month, the Pavillon de l'Arsenal continued with an exhibition called Materia, at Césure, a vast third venue managed by Plateau Urbain on the former Censier campus of the Sorbonne Nouvelle University. The opportunity for the institution to present the results of a major competition around ecological and biosourced materials.

Work with the Magasins Généraux de Pantin

The Pavillon de l'Arsenal also has collaborations planned with Magasins Généraux de Pantin, including a co-production on the ideal school, an exploration of how architecture can improve schools, and work with the association Climate suburbs in Saint-Ouen as part of the “House Europe” project, which aims to promote the renovation of working-class neighborhoods, rather than their demolition.

When it reopens in 2027 in its renovated premises, the Pavilion is planning a new major permanent exhibition around the changes in Greater Paris, which it plans to document through classic exhibitions, but also through new formats such as video or podcasts.
