Plaisance-du-Gers: a test phase to pedestrianize rue Saint-Nicolas

the essential
A portion of Rue Saint-Nicolas will soon be the subject of a test phase to make it pedestrian. This will begin at the beginning of December.

In order to strengthen pedestrian safety and allow the capacity of the weekly Thursday market to be gradually increased on Place du 11-Novembre, the portion of rue Saint-Nicolas located between the church and rue des Pyrénées will be the subject of a test phase from the beginning of December to make it pedestrian, after consultation with local residents who will be authorized to use it, as well as the delivery of services such as household waste collection.

The butcher shop will remain accessible

The locations of the Thursday morning market located on the Place du Bataillon de l'Armagnac will be moved to the Rue des Marronniers side. The market on the church square remains unchanged. The butcher shop located on rue Saint-Nicolas will remain accessible to pedestrians (customers with vehicles will be able to park on the half of rue des Marronniers left for the car park or on the adjacent streets). Rue de la halle (Maury butcher shop side) will be reopened to traffic.
