The Isigny Running sports association defined the main lines of the next trail in the Sélune valley (South Channel) at the end of November. This event, which brought together more than 600 runners this year, returns for a 12th edition on July 5 and 6, 2025. “We usually organize it on the second weekend of the month, but this time we have shifted it to because of July 14,” warns Juliette Chesnel, communications manager within the association.

Only one event on Saturday evening

As usual, the trail will take place around the La Mazure leisure center, in Isigny-le-Buat. In 2025, four races will be offered on Sundays, compared to three this year. “We are keeping the 32 km, 13 km and 7.7 km courses. But we are adding a 21 km route. This will have a positive altitude difference of 650 m,” specifies Juliette Chesnel. This new event replaces the 10 km race on Saturday evening, which will be canceled. “However, we are keeping the 12 km semi-night at 6 p.m.,” underlines the communications manager. Around a hundred volunteers are needed to ensure the races run smoothly.

Ready for two races in two days?

The other big novelty of this 12th edition is the eligibility of the 32 km route for the UTMB index, necessary to register for the Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc. This challenge earns 20K to the index. “We hope to be able to attract an even different audience with this option,” confirms the organizer. This difficult route has in fact a 1,000 m difference in altitude, with 4 hours 30 minutes of limited time to complete it. A difficulty that requires a lot of training. The “sphere” and “Isigny Running” challenges offered last year will continue. The first consists of completing the 12 km on Saturday and the 32 km on Sunday morning. The second includes the semi-night and the 13 km the next day. A 10 km walk is always offered on Sunday, in order to open the event to a wide audience. “Everyone can set their own goals on this trail,” adds Juliette Chesnel.

The settings and paths taken will be similar to those of the 2024 edition. The routes will pass through Les Biards, Saint-Laurent-de-Terregatte or in the heart of the Ange-Michel amusement park. The flagship 32 km event will start at 8:30 a.m., the 13 km and 21 km, as well as the walk, at 10 a.m. Finally, the 7.7 km will leave at 10:15 a.m. As every year, participants staying the entire weekend will be able to be accommodated in the leisure center. Registrations will open in early 2025 on the Klikego platform. They will close on July 4 at 12 a.m.
