A rare accident occurred this Saturday, November 30 in Maine-et-Loire. At 9:42 a.m., a TER traveling on the Cholet-Angers line hit a car on a level crossing between Cholet and La Possonnière. The exact circumstances of this collision are currently unknown. However, according to the SNCF, the impact would have occurred at low speed and the occupants of the vehicle would have had time to get out before the accident. No injuries were reported.
TER passengers evacuated
For the moment, train traffic is completely at a standstill between Cholet and Angers. TER passengers will be taken by coach to be taken to Angers. People who had to go to Paris will, for their part, be placed in another TGV.
The Cholet-Angers train, which was scheduled to depart at 11:49 a.m. with an arrival in Angers at 12:35 p.m., is canceled.
Barring technical incidents, traffic should resume around midday. SNCF Réseaux teams are on site.
