Pikine, July 6 (APS) – The Minister of Fisheries and Port Infrastructure, Fatou Diouf, launched on Saturday, at the central fish market of Pikine (suburb of Dakar), cleaning operations as part of the second cleaning day ”Sétal sunu rééw”.

Speaking before several stakeholders in the fishing sector, who came out in large numbers to welcome her, she urged Senegalese citizens to respond to the call of the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, by actively participating in the effort to build Senegal.

“The President of the Republic invites the Senegalese to work daily to make their country clean and to participate in its development efforts. This is the responsibility of each and every one of us,” she said.

Senegal belongs to all of us, it is everyone’s duty to “contribute to its construction”, she said.

“President Bassirou Diomaye Faye calls on everyone to actively participate in the efforts to build the country. For this country to develop, everyone must make their contribution,” insisted Fatou Diouf.

“Let no one wait for another in this work. Let everyone clean their environment daily,” she urged.

She praised the mobilization of the stakeholders for the success of this day initiated by the Head of State.

She recalled that this cleaning is taking place across the national territory, particularly in all fish markets, fishing docks, beaches and other public places.
