The Verdier. Brandy fair: a first edition in Tarn

The village of Verdier is preparing to host the very first Tarn brandy show on Saturday December 7 at the Restaurant “La weedgrass”, which replaces the Relais de la Vère. This will be an opportunity to discover the work of seven artisanal distilleries from Tarn and elsewhere, gathered around the collective of “natural hooch”. Waters – fruit brandy, spirits, aperitifs, vermouths, and liqueurs will be there. At the initiative of this project, Pablo Lerey of the “Chant du Cygne” distillery wanted to discover or rediscover the work of distillers “who make good and clean”. We are several artisanal distilleries brought together in a small territory. It was completely natural to organize this show on the Verdier”, explains Pablo the distiller. Rather than organizing yet another show in an urban environment, this 35-year-old craftsman was keen to present this show “at home in the campaign for the people of Tarn”. The boss of the brand new restaurant “La weedgrass”, Etienne Zurawski immediately offered to host the event. He already offers, in addition to his creative cuisine, a fine selection of eaux-de-vie. “We wanted to create a place that welcomes and brings people together, that’s exactly the spirit of this show,” he confides. Tastings and sales will take place. 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Then a festive evening will follow with food cooked by the restaurant Handy le chef, cocktails prepared by Yacine de “copine de gnôles” and musical atmosphere with DJ Bobichon.
