The 5 events of the Carcassonne Festival not to be missed this week!

Starting this Monday, July 8, the Carcassonne Festival begins a very busy week. Among the many events of the week, five dates not to be missed.

Greta van Fleet, July 10, at 9:30 p.m., at the Jean-Deschamps theater

Starting Wednesday, on the stage of the Jean-Deschamps theater, rock will resonate loudly. Very loudly. The American group Greta Van Fleet will perform in the heart of the City, to the delight of all rock’n’roll fans. Influenced by the 1960s and 1970s, they are often compared to Led Zeppelin. More than a million tickets sold worldwide, 250 sold-out concerts on five continents during their last tour, Greta Van Fleet is a tidal wave.

Michel Jonasz & Jean-Yves d’Angelo, July 10, at 10 p.m., on the Place Carnot stage

A second date not to be missed, at the same time as the first. But impossible to choose. Michel Jonasz on vocals, Jean-Yves d’Angelo on piano. It is not in the jazz club but in Place Carnot that the people of Carcassonne will have to go down this Wednesday, July 10 to attend the concert of “Mister Swing”. A vitamin-packed show, and enough to give a good dose of nostalgia to those who will have chosen blues rather than rock this Wednesday, July 10.

Juliette, July 11, at 10 p.m., on Place Carnot

The next day, Juliette will perform a few tracks from her latest album, Songs from where the eye rests. The singer tells stories, making good use of her talent as a lyricist, sometimes accompanied by the piano. Her artistic eye offers a reflection on everyday subjects, driven by the confinement that we have all experienced.

Chimène Badi sings Piaf on July 12 at 10 p.m. on the Place Carnot stage

Chimène Badi was already there at the end of July to take part in the television shows in the City of Carcassonne. This time, she is on stage at Place Carnot, for a moment between gentleness and power. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the death of her idol, Edith Piaf, Chimène Badi will perform the greatest classics from the repertoire of La Môme.

Christophe Maé, July 13, at 9:30 p.m., at the Jean-Deschamps theater

And we will end the week with a “crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy” evening. Christophe Maé, who needs no introduction, will come to light up the Jean-Deschamps theater with his contagious smile. He will defend several pieces from his latest album, Life is funnyintroduced by the single Wonderlandwithout forgetting his essential hits from his repertoire, such as On s’attache or Beautiful lady.
