All employees of the Compagnie des Thermes de Bourbonne-les-Bains, belonging to the Valvital group, were convened to an extraordinary social and economic committee this Thursday, November 28.
The economic situation of the local company Valvital is not good with a loss of turnover of €762,058 in 2023. It was not possible for us to verify what was said to the company's employees by the Director of human resources who had made the trip. Contacted several times this Friday, the group's CEO, Bernard Riac, did not respond to our requests. A judicial liquidation procedure cannot be ruled out according to certain sources. André Noirot, mayor of Bourbonne-les-Bains, and his deputy Elie Perriot, whom we met this Friday, have “no official communication from Valvital”. The town hall had sent a letter with acknowledgment of receipt dated October 23. This letter followed our article published that same day where the CEO of the Valvital group, Bernard Riac, provided reassuring comments on the future of the Compagnie des Thermes. “We are in Bourbonne-les-Bains and we are staying there,” he told us.
The thermal season ended Friday, November 24.
