On December 5, almost all of the national education unions call on all professionals in the sector to put themselves strike and to mobilize everywhere in . The inter-union movement calling for mobilization is broad and made up of the main national education unions (CGT, CFDT, UNSA, FSU, Solidaires, CFE-CGC and FA-FP).

Teachers will be mobilized to put pressure on the Minister of the Civil Service, Guillaume Kasbarian. They will try to waive the three-day waiting period in the public service, the reduction in compensation for days of sick leave as well as the non-payment of Gipa.

The unions will also denounce the 2025 Finance Bill which, if adopted in its current form, could lead to the elimination of 3,155 positions in National Education.

Two gatherings in Charente-Maritime

In the department, the unions are planning two rallies. Meeting points are given at 10 h 30, in front of the prefecture in La Rochelle as well as in front of the court of .

Planned for several weeks, this strike movement could be widely followed and disruptions are expected in the various schools in Charente-Maritime.

In La Rochellethe town hall has already announced that the after-school service would be significantly disrupted and asked parents of students to come pick up their child during the lunch break and to avoid dropping them off at the after-school reception in the morning and evening, if possible.
