Richard Papazoglou invites companies that have accounts at Crédit Agricole de Lorraine to withdraw their money if the bank maintains its intention to close its Bar-le-Duc site.

The general assembly of the Meuse – Haute- Chamber of Commerce, Thursday November 28 in the evening, in Saint-Dizier, provided the opportunity for President Richard Papazoglou to discuss his great anger towards Crédit agricole de Lorraine. The CCI 55-52 officially invites companies which have an account at Crédit agricole de Lorraine to withdraw their money if the Bank does not reverse course.

The consulars said it clearly: “Crédit agricole de Lorraine is leaving the Meuse, so let’s leave Crédit Agricole!”

The conflict broke out when the management of Crédit agricole de Lorraine made public its plan to close its Bar-le-Duc headquarters and repatriate the 75 employees who work there to Laxou. “It’s just unacceptable,” said Richard Papazoglou in front of his peers. Obviously, the regional management of Lorraine and the Chamber do not have the same definition of the word “proximity”. The president of the CCI therefore invites companies which have liquidity at Crédit agricole de Lorraine to write a letter to the CCI, letter in which they explain their intention to withdraw their account if the decision to close the Bar-le-Duc site is confirmed.

According to the Chamber, economic players who have already committed to withdrawing their money represent 25 million euros in deposits. Crédit agricole de Lorraine must make its decision on December 20.
