The Jura Nord community of communes calls on citizens to give their opinion on the future of the Gendrey media library. The objective of intercommunality, renovate, expand and restructure the establishmentby rethinking spaces, services and equipment.

“It has been under consideration for two years internally because our premises are still dilapidated», presents Céline Guarrigues Choulet, communications manager for the community. And added: “Afterwards, the schedule is not yet determinedwe are really in a study phase, and more precisely and diagnosis phase. »

A questionnaire for everyone

Indeed, a study group was set up in 2023 with the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (DRAC) Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and the Jura departmental media library.

It is in this context that this questionnaire was established. “It is equally aimed to people who frequent the placeonly to people who do not come. This allows us to know what could make them come“, explain Cédric Nouetthe manager of the media library. Note that 1,200 people go there regularly. “It represents between 10% and 12% of residents of the intermunicipality“, he specifies.

An item loan service?

Among the responses to the questionnaire already submitted, some come back often, such asa desire for digital, creative or even meeting spaces. “It’s something we already have, but why not develop it further?? », asks Cédric Nouet.

The manager has also thought of certain new features, such as a possible service allowing the loan of objects. He specifies: “Some have DVDs but don’t necessarily have a DVD player. Here they could borrow it. There could also be e-readerskitchen utensils or even musical instruments. » It remains to be seen, firstly, what citizens submit…
