It is because the public establishment of intercommunal cooperation (EPCI) on which the town of Blanc depends turns out to be the community council, that the latter had to rule, Thursday, November 28, 2024, on the Blancois request to expand the Sunday opening to some of its traders, who had requested it, in this case the city's supermarkets. At a minimum, this opening was limited to five Sundays per year, the community assembly authorized this to increase to twelve, to the great satisfaction of the mayor of the city, Gilles Lherpinière: “We have no reason to refuse, even if we are aware that the staff of these establishments need to rest. But we are here to encourage good will”. Encouraging is a bit of what the community council did during the debates and deliberations this Thursday.

Six grants awarded under the FSI

This was for example the case with the -Retrait farm project, in Rosnay. The new owner of the place, who specializes in pork and beef, bought the entire building for €530,000 and asked the community to buy back the meat cutting workshop which is located on place, for an amount of €103,000. This workshop, which is used by many farmers in the sector, will then be rented to the operator, for €600 excluding tax per month. Gérard Defez, advisor in charge of economic development, supported the project, and specified “that a subsidy request of around €50,000 will be made within the framework of carbon credits, since this workshop promotes the short circuit”. Deliberation voted on and approved unanimously.

Another support is that granted to the Maison Lauris bakery, in Tournon-Saint-Martin, whose bakery will be completely renovated, as it belongs to the CDC, for an amount of €53,000, “with the maintenance of the monthly rent at €600 excluding tax”notes Gérard Defez.

Concerning artisanal zones, 4,000 m2 will be sold to a construction company in Pouligny-Saint-Pierre; a request to purchase a building is in effect on the industrial wasteland of Les Groges, in Blanc, but not accepted for the moment, and an acquisition of land is in progress in Tournon-Saint-Martin.

The council then took note of the subsidies granted within the framework of the investment support fund (FSI) for the year 2024. They concerned “Ciron, for the renovation of the station hall (€12,000), notes Gérard Defez. Lurais, for the purchase of a tractor (€12,000), Fontgombault, for the purchase of a tractor-mower (€9,132), Le Blanc, for street furniture (€10,435), Oulches, for the wall of cemetery (€12,000), and finally Sacierges-Saint-Martin, for the kitchens of the group accommodation (€12,000). »
