La Ponote Amalia Lopes will fly to Mexico next July to represent France in the Miss Globe international beauty contest!
Saturday November 23, 2024 in Billom in Puy-de-Dôme, the election of the new Miss Petite Universe Auvergne took place. Emma Guizot from Puy-de-Dôme was elected, succeeding Amalia Lopes, originally from Puy-en-Velay. But the adventure continues all the same for the young Ponote since she will fly, at the end of July, to Mexico to represent France in the international Miss Globe competition.
What is the Miss Globe competition?
Miss Globe is an international beauty pageant held annually since 1925. It was initially known as Dream Girl International or Boston Globe, the pageant was renamed Miss Globe in 1975. The current title holder, Colombian Diana Moreno , was crowned on October 15, 2024, at the Olympic Park in Tirana, Albania. She succeeded Miss Globe 2023, Manvin Khera of Malaysia.
New responsibilities for Ponote
Amalia Lopes has also just been named delegate of the Miss Petite Universe committee for lower Auvergne (Haute-Loire and Cantal). This structure organizes an international class event which aims to elect the “most beautiful little woman in the universe, but also the one who possesses human beauty, personality and the desire to engage in a charitable cause .”
The competition is open to young women and teenagers under 1m70.
