Wednesday November 27, the Grosses Têtes team arrived in Saint-Dizier. After a visit to Muse, Laurent Ruquier and his gang recorded the next day's show at Les Fuseaux, available as a podcast. Back to this evening.
There was RTL Matin, live from Place Aristide-Briand on May 17. There will now also be Les Grosses Têtes. A cult event on RTL radio which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2027, the show was relocated to Saint-Dizier on Wednesday November 27, following an invitation from the City. Recorded during the evening, it was broadcast the next day, Thursday 28 at 3:30 p.m., and remains available as a podcast. “It’s a real pleasure to come here, to meet our audience. Ideally, we try to relocate once a month,” says Laurent Ruquier, a few minutes before the launch. As the host of the show for ten years confides, the approach is different: “In the studio, we are in front of 150 people. In a room like here, we are on stage, it's a show. »
To do this, he surrounded himself with Chantal Ladesou and Jeanfi Janssens – who had already come to Saint-Dizier -, Yoann Riou, and “three traveling virgins”: Sylvie Tellier, Olivier Bellamy and Roman Doduik. Patxi Garat will join them later to sing.
In the meantime, there's already a lot of fun going on behind the scenes. An overview of the 2.5 hours of filming to come, the same duration as the broadcast on air: “During editing, the transitions between sequences are cut, as well as certain hesitations. This is what allows us to incorporate ads,” says Xavier Chefneux, communications manager for RTL.

To prepare for the show, Laurent Ruquier researched a lot. By examining daily JHM in particular, the article on the installation of the Christmas tree in front of the town hall will serve as the running gag of the evening. “Do you know what Rachel (Bedet) was looking for on Place Aristide-Briand? A hole! » Other turns of phrase will come back regularly, such as “Saint-Dizier halfway” between Paris and Strasbourg, or the term “Bragard”, “the what?” », asks Roman Doduik ironically, during the first pronunciation of our kindness.
There are numerous nods to the region during the show. The memory of Sylvie Tellier at the Aragon room for Miss Haute-Marne, Mgr Gaillot who gave his body to science, the history of Miko ice cream, André-Breton and surrealism, the metro entrances of Hector Guimard, the Lac du Der, the actors Bernard Noël and Laurent Stocker, the nickname “the lobster” given to the judoka Axel Clerget… On the phone, the singer Tété – at the Theater on December 14 – reminded him of living in the Bragarde city from the age of 5 to 19.
The Fuseaux spectators (sold out a few minutes after the announcement of the evening) applauded loudly, appreciating the unfiltered humor of the Grosses Têtes. Some then hoped to take a few photos, like Pascale, resident of Eurville-Bienville. With her husband Pierre, she has participated in TV and radio broadcasts, in the public, “since 1982 and the School of Fans, with Jacques Martin. It’s our passion.” The Nord Haut-Marne region had even bought cases of Wassy to give to the whole team. In case the Grosses Têtes were, due to lack of a hole, feeling a little peckish after 2.5 hours of show.

Behind the scenes of the show
One day after certain members of the technical team, the Grosses Têtes arrived in Saint-Dizier early in the afternoon, Wednesday November 27. Having left by train from Paris to Reims, they reached the Bragarde city by coach. At the Ibis Styles hotel where the team is staying – “room 146”, Jeanfi Janssens joked – a room is dedicated to preparing the show. The proximity of the site allowed the Grosses Têtes (except Laurent Ruquier) to visit Muse (read JHM daily of November 28), supervised by Clément Michon, curator of the Municipal Museum. Return to the hotel for refreshments, before being taken by shuttle to Les Fuseaux, around 6:15 p.m.
Final preparations in the dressing rooms, a few minutes of discussions with the local media, small meeting with Quentin Brière, Rachel Blanc and Tony Vaglio, last coffee for Laurent Ruquier, tea for Yoann Riou… It's 7 p.m., the host takes the stage and calls his members one by one. Here we go! After a few moments of sharing, the team will end the evening at the Au Bureau restaurant. Before returning to their respective locations, in the morning of Thursday.
