Tool in Hand soon back in Crèvecœur-le-Grand?

After a few years of shutdown, l'Outil en Main, which promotes the transmission of know-how between generations, could reopen a section in Crèvecœur-le-Grand.

Train young people aged 9 to 15 in manual trades. This is thanks to the know-how of former retired professionals who give their time on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is the concept of the Tool in Hand.

The association had already existed for several years under the mandate of former mayor André Coët before stopping. “The Tool in Hand had not found the balance to continue functioning“, indicates the mayor of Crèvecœur-le-Grand Aymeric Bourleau.

From now on, she could return to Crèvecœur-le-Grand.

There is demand since in the Grandvilliers section there are a few children from the Crèvecœur-le-Grand sector.

assures Réginald Morlet, new departmental delegate of Outil en Main who has just succeeded Jean-Paul Tribaudeaut

L’Outil en Main is looking for premises…

Thus, the association approached the City to propose reopening a section. In return, she undertakes to take part in the activities and community life of Crèvecœur-le-Grand.

For example, she was at the Feuquières Christmas market on November 24 and will be at the Romescamps Christmas market on November 30.

But nothing has been done at the moment. Indeed, the town hall, favorable to the arrival of Outil en Main, is currently looking for premises to offer it.

We have many associations and lack available premises. Hence our project to create new public facilities. For the Tool in Hand, you need a room with space for the equipment, access to water, a kitchen… Lots of constraints. So we are talking with the associations. The Tool in Hand would have to be able to work with one of them.”

estime Aymeric Bourleau

In the past, the association was located alongside the municipal workshops, instead of the François 1er association.

…young people and tradespeople

In the meantime, the association which trains the professionals of tomorrow is already investing in local life since it appears in the municipal magazine The Crepicordian and took part in the last association forum.

Even before having the certainty of having premises, “we would already have 4 or 5 children interested but we still have quite a few placesspecifies Réginald Morlet. Then we are also looking for volunteer trades people ready to share their know-how on Wednesday afternoons“.

If you are interested in the concept, contact Réginald Morlet on 06 40 50 25 18 or Jean-Paul Tribaudeaut on 06 88 25 29 77.
