Established from Saint-Dizier to Pisseloup, whether they were born or have chosen to settle in Haute-Marne, these often very young inhabitants have no shortage of surprising, innovative, inspiring ideas to bring the department to life.
Created by the Departmental Council, organized by the Attractiveness Agency, the “Ideas inspired by Haute-Marne” competition is in its fourth edition. Thirty-six Haut-Marnais applied to be 2024 winners among three categories of ideas inspired by nature, know-how, and animation of the territory.
In each category, the first three prizes are awarded financial aid of €1,500, €1,000 and €500 respectively. The other awarded projects – favorites, public prizes – also receive hard cash and advice.
The awards evening, organized Thursday November 28, 2024 at the Robert-Henry cultural center in Nogent, was hosted by Haut-Marne singer Christopher Muel.

Ideas inspired by nature
First prize (and Tom Point'Com's favorite prize): The Hunchbacks of Haut-Marne (Edwin Guyot). An idea for a camel “breeding”, in the Chaumont region, came from watching on television « a report on camel milk in Asia » whose virtues are beneficial. Objective for the young Haut-Marne: to see its breeding eventually reach 60 to 80 animals, which adapt perfectly to the Haut-Marne climate, to introduce camelids to the general public, to offer animal mediation.
Second prize: Le Couche t’art (Pierre Jacquemin). As is often the case, it is a professional reconversion. Pierre and Juliane came from Nancy to create their unusual accommodations in Pisseloup: teepees. An activity “on track” and that the family intends to develop further, with plans for a swimming pool for children.
Third prize: “Tourist accommodation in the Saint-Roch forest” (Thibaud Chazarin). A great project carried out by young people from Haut-Marnes: “create a site that highlights the town of Chaumont, with accommodation, horseback riding, catering and tavern. » The identified location: below the majestic viaduct.
Ideas inspired by Know-how
First prize (and prize of the CCI Meuse-Haute-Marne): “ Debya, the 100% tailor-made bicycle saddle” (Léo Bouvier). This innovative activity, imagined by professional cyclists and presented Thursday evening by Thierry Lénat, is attracting attention throughout France and even beyond: creating tailor-made bicycle saddles. Measurements taken by healthcare professionals, 3D printing, finishing: “between 30 to 40 stools per month” are made in Breuvannes-en-Bassigny.
Second prize (and prize from the Chamber of Trades and Crafts): Creation of a basketry workshop (Judith Baud). Another professional reconversion, from National Education to wicker work. “I wanted to settle in Haute-Marne, and there is a national basket-making school in the department”rejoices the one who, in her workshop in Créancey, near Châteauvillain, obviously makes baskets, but also “decorative elements, jewelry”.
Third prize: Animal care center (Lola Guillemin). It is in Joinville where she has her roots that the young qualified osteopath from Haute-Garonne wanted to create her business. Lola Guillemin will soon open its animal care and welfare center there to offer other services to existing ones. Notably “develop the hydropractical part thanks to an immersed aquatic treadmill and a swimming pool for small animals”.
Ideas inspired by the animation of the territory
First prize (and Department prize): “Your benches are taking a break” (Benjamin Thiery). The Auberive festival committee wants to spread the word throughout the department. His project: “Offer hiking trails with original benches and QR codes to encourage passers-by to think. » An idea that came from a stay in Saint-Malo, a Breton town which, like Langres, is associated… with the name of Vauban. “Your benches”, “it’s the wink of the eye.”
Second prize (and Puissance TV’s favorite): “Discovering musical artists from Haut-Marne” (Rémy Verroust). The ambition of the young resident of Courcelles-sur-Aujon: to enable Haut-Marne artists “lacking visibility” to present their musical work in five-minute videos.
Third prize: “Starlit motion” (Matéo Koch). Drone shows made in Haute-Marne: this is the project of a young Bragard, which he is developing at the creators' space in his city. “I am currently looking for funding, with the hope of acquiring the drones in early 2025”slips the young holder of an audiovisual BTS, already rewarded by his city.
Price from the Chamber of Agriculture: “The adventures of Louise and Gabriel” (Camille Delaloy-Husson). It's a book for children aged 4 to 11 retracing the story of a Lyon family, the Fontaines, discovering a family farm. Way to discover agricultural professions and sectors.
C2M Electronics’ favorite: Equicie for all (Alexandra Henriot). An equine mediation activity carried out by an association created in July 2023 and tending towards “a better being of people” thanks to contact with horses.
Audience Award: “Poulangy, be careful, you are entering a picturesque village” (Christophe Dubois Rubio). With 10,142 votes, the project led by an association from Poulangy was favored by the public. Traveling exhibition (it will soon be in Saint-Dizier), “Balcons de Poulangy” circuit, website: the promoters of a village with “5,000 years of history” no shortage of ideas.
