Thursday November 21, 2024, equestrian world had an appointment at the evening of prize giving ceremony for Eure ridersorganized by the departmental riding committee at the Clos equestrian center in Saint-Aquillin-de-Pacy. THE CSADN horse ridingbased in Vernon (Your) was there.
“This is the first time we have been invited to this evening. It was put in place to reward riders in addition to their results during the season,” explains Julie Varlet, CSADN rider.
Three distinguished riders
During this evening, three members of the Vernon equestrian center were distinguished.
Julie Varlet was crowned departmental champion in dressage club 2 with her horse Denver Candy Sonysglo.
The latter is also champion in the departmental dressage club 2 circuit category and we find Marjorie Satra at the second place with his horse Tristan du Gevaudan. Finally, Clara Noël was distinguished in the departmental dressage club 3 circuit with her horse Out.
Awards from which the three riders and their coach, Thibaud Lengagne, left this evening with a smile on their lips.
“We were quite proud because dressage was a first season for Clara Noël and me, and Marjorie for her part had never done a real full season of competition. We're on something new for all three and it's a great way to end the season for everyone. With Marjorie, we returned a little disappointed with our results at the French championships so this departmental award allows us to finish on a good note,” rejoices Julie Varlet the day after the ceremony, without forgetting to thank the sponsors who helped the club to participate in competitions (ASMT, JS Boillet and Leclerc Vernon).
Enough to remotivate the troops for the new season. Marjorie Satra has set herself a goal: to requalify for the French dressage championships. And she is already on the way to making it happen.
Promising new season
“In November, she already almost has her qualifications whereas we usually have them in April,” emphasizes Julie Varlet.
For her part, Clara Noël will try to qualify for the French championships for the first time.
Julie Varlet will put dressage aside and concentrate on show jumping. “I want to qualify alone and as a team,” says the latter.
The CSADN equestrian hopes well get even more results This year.
We will have more competitors this year for the French championships, knowing that there were already five of us last year. Everyone who participated last year is leaving for a new season and will no longer be in unfamiliar territory so that gives us even more possibilities.
Already present in team show jumping, Louis Druais is ranked first in all his events since the start of the season and constitutes a big hope for the French championships.
The 2024-2025 season is therefore announced promising for the club.
