Around 10:10 a.m., this Friday, November 29, firefighters and police intervened on Boulevard Puyblanc, in Brive (Corrèze), for the start of a fire of electrical origin, which broke out in the kitchen of the restaurant Le Grain of salt.
“The fire started suddenly in the kitchen. Fortunately it did not happen in the middle of the night and we were present when the fire started,” notes Nicolas Pedupèbe, one of the three associates of Grain de salt, worried about the holiday season which will be launched in a few days. His establishment could close its doors while repairs are carried out.
Seven people evacuated
As a precaution, firefighters evacuated seven people present in the restaurant at the time of the incident. The establishment has eight employees.
According to the firefighters, who mobilized two fire engines and around ten firefighters, no injuries were reported. “The fire which started from the electric meter did not spread to the rest of the kitchen,” explains the column leader.
EDF teams also went to the site.
