General satisfaction. It is with a big smile that Fabrice Verdier, president of the Community of communes Pays d'Uzès (CCPU), announced the opening of a Maison France dual-site services on the territory.
Eleven public services represented in Uzès and Lussan
A device publicly funded which provides for permanence with advisors able to support users in their administrative procedures to eleven public services : Family allowances, ANTS (France securities), Retirement insurance, Health insurance, Energy check, Public finances, France travail, France rénov', MSA, La Poste and the Justice info point.
“Urssaf will join the system from 1is January 2025″, announcement Anne Levasseur, sub-prefect of Gard, representative of Maison France services in the territory. A device, “President Emmanuel Macron's commitment in 2019 after the Great National Debate so that the French can find public services less than 20 minutes from home”, she recalls.
Real need for public services in Uzège
This structure is the 32e created in Gard. “It’s true that there was a void in this corner of the department,” concedes the state representative, who underlines the involvement of the CCPU and the municipalities of Uzès and Lussan in hosting the system, “because you have to be able to install it in good conditions.”
It responds to the second axis of the Global territorial convention of the CCPU: access to rights. “The kilometer distance but also psychological distance, when we do not have access to digital technology, results in a feeling of loneliness in the face of problems, notes Sophie Marinopoulos, elected in charge of the CTG at the Community of Communes. There, people will find themselves face to face with a real interlocutor.” she rejoices. A project which was also supported by the Municipality of Uzès, enchanted with “see the user placed at the heart of public service”.
Maison France services, a system that works
“The offer is enhanced with the arrival of new services each year, points out the sub-prefect. And according to monitoring carried out by the National Agency for Territorial Cohesion, 96% of French people expressed their full satisfaction with this system.
For this, a specifications specific has been developed, including suitable premises and equipment. “For example, we installed a computer with a screen that rotates, so that the user is an actor in their procedures, with the aim of autonomy”, presents Laurent Chanson, director of local service at the CCPU. “We have done everything to ensure that the public is received in good conditions.” confirmed Fabrice Verdier. A welcome with a waiting area, a corner with two computers with free access and four offices make up the structure in Uzès. The equivalent is planned in Lussan.
“I'm not a big fan of Macron, but the MFS works”, recognizes Fabrice Verdier, also regional advisor to Carole Delga. “A service completed by Maison France itinerant services set up with the MSA, which continues”.
“A public services center in Uzès”,

Additionally, this service is installed in the Alzon building, on the Place des Cordeliers in Uzès, where there is also the company employment space and the CAF and CPAM hotlines, already in place in Uzès, to create a real “public services center”, slips Fabrice Verdier. “It makes things easier when the place is already identified by users,” congratulates Anne Levasseur. A location designed to be located next to the Cordeliers car park (free parking 1h30) and close to the bus stop. And to facilitate access to Uzetian hotlines, the CCPU has adjusted the timetables of its on-demand transport lines.
