In the future, travelers will no longer have to go through Paris to reach, for example, Pont de Sèvres from Arcueil – Cachan. The opportunity to dwell a little longer on this line 15 of the Grand Paris Express which will be moreover the longest metro line in France. Thus, the ligne 15 will tour Paris over a distance of 75 kmcrossing no less than 45 communesincluding those of Saint-Denis, Aubervilliers, Bobigny, Bondy, Rosny, Val-de-Fontenay, Champigny, Noisy-le-Grand, Saint-Maur, Créteil, Villejuif, Vitry-sur-Seine, Arcueil, Cachan, Bagneux, Châtillon, Montrouge, Issy-les-Moulineaux, Sèvres, Saint-Cloud, Suresnes, Nanterre, La Défense or even Bois-Colombes. In the end, the ligne 15 will travel the rails of four departments of Île-de-France: Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de-Marne and Seine-et-Marne.

Another advantage, and not the least, almost 95% of line 15 stations will be in connection with the existing transport network, namely the Transilien, the RER, the metro, the tramway or even the bus.
Side stations, 36 will be served by this future line 15distributed over three sections: East, West and South. Among the most anticipated are the train station Noisy – Champs. With platforms located between 13.5 and 21 meters underground, it will be one of the interconnecting stations of the Grand Paris Express to accommodate two lines of the new metro, namely lines 15 and 16.
Another station that might get people talking? The Green Houses. With platforms located 35 meters underground, and with eleven levels including nine underground, it will be one of the deepest in the world. Grand Paris Express. But the deepest station in the future network, and indeed the deepest in France, will be contested Saint-Maur – Créteil station. With platforms located at a depth of 52 meters (compared to 29 meters on average for other stations in the Grand Paris Express), this future Saint-Maur – Créteil station will be spread over nine underground levels. The commissioning of line 15 South, which is to be the first to see the light of day on the Grand Paris Express network, has already seen its opening postponed several times. Initially announced for 2020, the inauguration was postponed for the first time to 2023 then to 2024 and the end of December 2025. From now on, the southern section of line 15 should be put into service in the summer of 2026.
Then, the inauguration should be completed in 2031 with the commissioning of the Eastern sections (between Champigny Center and Saint-Denis-Pleyel stations) and West (between Pont de Sèvres and Saint-Denis Pleyel stations).
