Hérault firefighters were urgently mobilized this Friday November 29, 2024 morning on the RD68, in Vendargues. A traffic accident involving a car and a utility vehicle has cut off traffic in both directions.

Two victims were recorded on site. The driver of the car was seriously injured and trapped in his vehicle. The Dragon 34, the civil security helicopter, was deployed to take care of one of the victims. Traffic was completely interrupted during the operation.

A few hours earlier, another accident had already hit the roads of Hérault. In Villeneuve-lès-Béziers, near the Mediterranean roundabout, a single car ended its journey on its roof.

Firefighters attempted to resuscitate the driver, to no avail. The victim died despite the efforts made. The circumstances of the tragedy remain unclear.
