Anger of farmers: new demonstrations on December 9 and 10 throughout France: News

At the microphone of RMC, Friday November 29, the president of the FNSEA Arnaud Rousseau announced new dates of events on December 9 and 10 “everywhere in ”.

The anger of the farmers does not subside. After several days of demonstrations, the president of the FNSEA, the majority union, announced new dates. Invited to the microphone of RMC, Friday November 29, Arnaud Rousseau indicated that farmers will mobilize on December 9 and 10 “everywhere in France”.

The theme of this new mobilization will be devoted to “income“farmers. “It will be around the relationship with the price of our products, particularly in the context of the start of commercial relations, of negotiation with distributors”he clarified. “We need concrete results to be achieved,” insisted the president of the majority union.

Budget censorship worries

Returning to the threat of censorship which hangs over the government budget, Arnaud Rousseau described a situation “untenable“. “If there is a motion of censure and the Barnier government falls, that means that for farmers again (…) we are starting from scratch”he worries. “We need to plan ahead and stabilize ourselves. We cannot wait two and a half years and the next presidential election to have new decisions”he finally lamented.

Farmers have been demonstrating for several weeks across France, calling for a simplification of their regulations and an improvement in their wages, but also to oppose the agreements with Mercosur.
