Suspected of selling drugs via WhatsApp, six men arrested in Val-d'Oise

Suspected of selling drugs via WhatsApp, six men were arrested and taken into police custody on Monday, November 18, in Val-d'Oise. A large sum of money and various drugs were found at their home. They will be judged in January 2025, indicates “La Gazette du Val-d’Oise”.

A drug trafficking network was dismantled by police officers from the Cergy police station (Val-d'Oise). Six dealers, aged 18 to 28, were arrested and placed in police custody on Monday November 18, 2024. They are said to have operated from Vauréal (Val-d'Oise). Customers placed orders via WhatsApp messaging, reports The Gazette du Val-d'Oise .

These arrests came after three months of investigation. The suspects' homes were searched. The police seized €18,000 in cash, 3 kg of cannabis and 100 g of cocaine. They got their hands on a car and luxury clothes.

A judgment scheduled for January 2025

Once their custody ended, the six suspects were brought to appear immediately before the criminal court. Their trial was ultimately postponed. They will be tried in January 2025. In the meantime, four of the suspects have been imprisoned. The other two were placed in pre-trial detention.
