The second round of the Nationale 2 table tennis took place in Montauban. After a first round in Agen with exemplary organization with the presence of official referees, the context this time was very different. In Montauban, despite the high level of the competition, the refereeing body was made up largely of volunteers, including many young people around ten years old.
Aude Gagliazzo, Villemachoise representative, accompanied by her coach Joseph Soriano, experienced a chaotic first match. Interrupted more than 30 times in five sets for the referee's failure to count, this match was marked by complaints from the two coaches, which remained unanswered. At the end of this meeting, Aude lost 3 sets to 2. Disappointment and frustration certainly contributed to the results of this day where she finished last in her group. The next day, the same problems persisted. Despite everything, Aude was able to find his game again to win his final classification match, allowing him to finish in 11th place. Its maintenance should be assured, but must be confirmed by the League. Let's hope Aude quickly forgets this weekend to concentrate on the third round, scheduled for Agen on January 25 and 26.
