After the arrival in Dijon this Thursday, the Tour de France remains in Côte-d’Or for this first time trial of the 2024 edition. As a reminder, the second will take place on the last day, with the final arrival in Nice. The route will crisscross the vineyards of the Grands Crus of Burgundy and will take the riders to Gevrey-Chambertin, where the finish will be judged.

25.3 kilometres will be covered between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Gevrey-Chambertin on a fairly smooth course, with the Curtil-Vergy hill (1.6 km at 6.1%) on the programme. The main favourites for the general classification should not be disturbed by this small difficulty.

The favorites for the 7th stage of the Tour de France 2024

World time trial champion Remco Evenepoel will be one of the main favourites for this 7th stage. However, we will have to see how the Belgian reacts in the exercise on the Tour de France, after a week of racing. The yellow jersey Tadej Pogacar is obviously a sure bet in the discipline. Dominating on the Combloux time trial last year, Jonas Vingegaard should be less comfortable on such a course but we can expect the Dane to manage to sign a big performance. The same goes for Primoz Roglic.

Stefan Küng, the Swiss from Groupama-FDJ, still hopes to secure a first stage victory on the Tour de France. The French champion of the year Bruno Armirail will be one to watch but his chances will be low. Wout Van Aert will also have pretensions.

How to follow the 7th stage of the Tour de France 2024

The first rider will set off at 1:05 p.m. and the yellow jersey Tadej Pogacar will leave at 5:00 p.m., with an expected finish around 5:29 p.m. This 7th stage, like the 21 stages of this Grande Boucle, will be broadcast on TV on France 2 and France 3, but also on Eurosport 1 and with live commentary on the RMC Sport website and app. RMC will broadcast all the stages on the radio between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and in full on its 100% digital radio Route.
