A civil security exercise “large Couesques dam” is organized by the Aveyron prefecture, Thursday November 28, 2024. This exercise will simulate the rupture of the large Couesques dam (located between the municipalities of Campouriez and Saint-Hippolyte), following an exceptional flood.

On this occasion, three public alert systems will be tested. The Aveyron prefecture is likely to activate the FR-ALERT population alert system which makes it possible to alert and inform via a notification or SMS, any person located in a danger zone.

In practice, 25 Aveyron municipalities will be targeted by this system: Almont-les-Junies; Ambeyrac; Asprieres; Balaguier-d’Olt; Boisse-Penchot; Bouillac; Campouriez; Capdenac-Gare; Causse-et-Diège; Conques-en-Rouergue; Decazeville; Entraygues-sur-Truyère; Espeyrac; Flagnac; Florentin-la-Capelle; Golinhac; Le Fel; Le Nayrac; Livinhac-le-Haut; Saint-Hippolyte; Saint-Parthem; Saint-Santin; Salvagnac-Carjac; Saujac; Sengues.
