The Minister of the Interior and Security of Gabon, Hermann Immongault, is making a two-day working visit to Senegal on electoral issues in order to draw inspiration from the Senegalese model of organizing elections.
“The purpose of this visit is to draw inspiration from the Senegalese school of democratic life and election management. On November 16, in Gabon, we organized the 3rd referendum in our history. We came to Senegal to see how Senegal works on the issue of election management, the electoral list, the actors involved, the results, the participation of electoral observers,” declared Hermann Immongault highlighting the similarity between the two countries in the management of certain situations.
“We want a Senegalese delegation in Libreville to better perfect our knowledge of the Senegalese model. We welcome the desire of our two heads of state to strengthen the Libreville-Dakar axis in all political, security, economic and now electoral aspects,” he concluded.
