The SCSB is organizing the sixth edition of the “Summer Sète Basket” on July 13 and 14 at the Lido.

3×3 pitch on the Place de la République, participation in the sports agora, summer events, partnership with the Basket Lattes Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole Association, organization of the Back to Ballin (national level 5×5 tournament, read below)… The orange ball has taken up residence all over the city.

A FFBB-certified tournament

And on the weekend of July 13 and 14, it will be on the outdoor courts of the Lido that it will happen, with the sixth edition of the “Summer Sète Basket” organized by the Sport Club Sète Basket. A 3×3 tournament that generally brings together teams from Sète, Frontignan, Montpellier and, more generally, from Occitanie, but also some teams from further afield.

The formula is indeed attractive because, in addition to the fact that the event takes place a hundred meters from the beach, it is FFBB certified and therefore allows players to improve their individual “ranking” on the national circuit, and therefore to accumulate points allowing them to participate, in time, in the Opens Plus as well as the Open de France.

The girls have their tournament

In addition to the traditional dunk and shoot contests, which help to raise the atmosphere several notches, a major new feature is on the program for this sixth edition, with the organization of a 100% women’s tournament. An initiative that is part of the policy of developing women’s basketball wanted by SC Sète Basket this season.

All this will happen on Saturday, July 13. The next day, it will be the turn of the youth categories (U11 to U18) to take to the Lido grounds.

Refreshments, catering, DJ, entertainment provided by “Mr Summer” Abdel Hamzaoui, everything will once again be there for this great basketball celebration.
