While he was supposed to stay with the Chorale next season, Narcisse Ngoy has finally made the decision to leave. A new adventure in Rouen awaits him.

He has brought the Halle to its feet more than once. In his few appearances at Vacheresse and more generally in Betclic Elite, Narcisse Ngoy has been unanimous. Especially among the public. But also among his former coach, Marc Berjoan.

His impressive counters and monstrous dunks left their mark last season. Which earned him compliments on several occasions from the former Roanne coach. “I am very happy with his contribution. He was very present,” he said after the victory against Cholet on April 15.

A professional contract in his pocket

The young hopeful was part of the club’s plans for next season. Despite the mention of a loan to make him evolve, the leaders were counting on the pivot. As proof, he signed his first professional contract a few weeks ago. But the latter, as well as his agents, decided otherwise.

Antoine Diot, Maxime Roos… The Chorale de Roanne makes several players official for next season

This Thursday, July 4, the Chorale de Roanne announced that the U20 international would be leaving the structure to join Rouen. This team plays in Pro B, the same level as the Loire team.

Five minutes on average in Betclic Elite

“The Chorale leaders regret this decision after having bet on the potential of this player who arrived at the training center in 2022. Through hard work and progress in the Espoirs Élite championship under the orders of Marc Berjoan, Narcisse Ngoy had the opportunity to discover the Betclic Élite with the Roanne jersey during the past year. We wish him the best for the rest of his promising career,” the Chorale said in a press release.

Last season, Narcisse Ngoy played around 5 minutes on average on the Betclic Elite courts for 1.4 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.5 blocks. His best game remains the one against the Mets 92, in Espoirs. On November 25, 2023, he finished the game with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 11 blocks.
