The train, traveling on the - line, was stopped at Carcenac-Peyralès station this Thursday, November 28, 2024. The fourteen passengers were brought to safety. A team of deminers from is expected at the scene around 10:30 a.m.

Rail traffic came to a complete standstill this Thursday morning after a suspicious package was reported. The object was found on a train which was immediately stopped at Carcenac-Peyralès station “as required by security protocol”, according to the gendarmes. The fourteen passengers on board were brought to safety by the SNCF.

Minesweepers from Montpellier

A mine clearance team, from Montpellier, has been mandated to neutralize this baggage and should be on site around 10:30 a.m.

The SNCF has set up a bus service to transport passengers towards Toulouse.

At Rodez station this Thursday at 9 a.m., around thirty people, many annoyed, boarded this bus which was to take them towards Toulouse, with extended travel times and an arrival in Gaillac at 1:40 p.m. and in Toulouse around 4 p.m.
