Friday evening, the “Phileas Fogg” café-concert welcomes the trio “Thomas Sarrodie & Bi-Polar Blues”. On this occasion, the group will present the set that it will deliver in Memphis, during the International Blues Challenge in January.
“It’s a source of pride, but it requires a lot of work and investment,” rejoices Thomas Sarrodie, guitarist and singer in his blues band.
“As some already know, with my group Thomas Sarrodie & Bi-Polar Blues we have been selected to participate in the International Blues Challenge which will take place in Memphis (USA) in January. We will therefore be among the most of 180 groups selected from all over the world… In short, we're going to play in the States.”
But before this big meeting, you still have to fine-tune your show. On this occasion, they are organizing a mini-tour entitled “On the road to Memphis” to come and present to you the set that they will defend during the competition. They will stop Friday evening at the “Phileas Fogg”, on the Allées Georges-Leygues of the bastide.
But the group also needs support, particularly financial. “That being said, we need a little help to help us finance this trip (plane tickets, accommodation, vehicle rental, etc.) because obviously, the costs are not covered… I leave the link to this crowdfunding campaign if you want to help us. It is obvious that there is no obligation and I will not blame you if you cannot participate. Please note that we have planned compensation. and that from 5 € it is already a contribution that will help us. Thank you to those who will take the time to take a look at it as well as to those who will participate in this incredible experience that is reaching out to us” concludes Thomas.
