Building on the success of previous editions, the Lot Department is launching the third edition of the Villages A-Venir system, with a new call for expressions of interest (AMI) from the Lot municipalities. They have until January 8, 2025 to apply.

The Villages A-Venir system has already enabled twelve municipalities to initiate ambitious and sustainable projects to revitalize their town center, touching on various areas such as housing, mobility, public facilities, heritage, culture and even spatial planning public.

Since 2024, eight municipalities have been selected each year to benefit from “tailor-made” engineering support from the services of the Lot Department and the CAUE (architecture, town planning and environment council). ). The participation of citizens and local partners (State services, Causses du Quercy regional natural park, intermunicipalities, etc.) is also integrated into this dynamic.

Through this action, the Lot Department wishes to act alongside the municipalities in order to support the attractiveness of the Lot and its villages. In 2024, the municipalities of Alvignac, Boissières, Cardaillac, Concots, Cornac, Mauroux, Parnac and Saint-Denis-lès-Martel benefited from the “Villages A-Venir” system.

It had been tested from 2021 in four municipalities (Cabrerets, Castelfranc, Le Vignon-en-Quercy and Saint-Cirgues).
