“It’s a huge source of pride, but not an achievement. The achievement will be when we’ve succeeded. I’ve experienced everything in this club: training, being a professional assistant, managing the center… I experienced this bankruptcy which hurt a lot of people, I went into exile for seven years, it taught me things, that I could work elsewhere, but I’m very, very happy to come back here.”

“What is success? It’s giving emotions to the public in this stadium, it’s performing, it’s having a working mentality and an extraordinary state of mind […]. I think that investment and commitment are non-negotiable. Afterwards, there is no point in training eight hours a day, that’s not it. You have to put in the intensity when you’re there, find the right balance, after that I ask for personal investment. I am very invested, the staff is too, the managers and the public are, so I ask for invested players.
