It is with great joy that the educational community of the Sainte Thérèse de Montredon Labessonnié school was awarded the “Education à la relation” label.

Mr. Artigues, diocesan director of Catholic Education in Tarn, and Stéphanie Fajournel-Lafage, trainer in Relationship Education, came in person to attend a school council meeting at the end of which a magnificent plaque was presented to the teaching team.

The teachers and childminders have been trained for 3 years in relationship education, which consists of learning to put words to one’s emotions, needs and desires, to better reach out to others, to welcome them in an attitude of listening and openness to dialogue.

Every fortnight, in each class, starting in kindergarten, a relationship education session takes place. It involves teaching “know-how”, self-knowledge, self-esteem, conflict management, creativity and cooperation.

If spelling and algebra are essential at school, the “grammar of emotions” is also necessary to be in a fair, balanced and free relationship. A magnificent plaque will be affixed to the exterior facade of the school during the summer.

With this label, the Sainte Thérèse school has that little something extra!
