N’Doram, it’s over

While waiting to announce its change of coach, FC Metz continues to formalize departures within its squad. It formalized this Wednesday that of Kévin N’Doram, at the end of his contract. The 28-year-old midfielder, who arrived in 2019 – initially on loan before a definitive transfer from Monaco – had expressed his desire not to extend the adventure. He will have played 97 matches in the garnet jersey and experienced some more or less serious misadventures during his years at Metz, between numerous physical problems, a burglary and the dramatic road accident which put an end to the career of his ex-partner Manuel Cabit. In sporting terms, on the other hand, the 2017 French champion has proven, when his body allowed him to, that he is a Ligue 1 level player, notably during the play-offs against Saint-Étienne, during which he was involved and performed well.

A friendly in Amiens

FC Metz’s summer program continues to take shape, with a sixth preparation match announced this Wednesday. The Grenats will end their friendly campaign in Amiens, on Saturday August 10 at 5 p.m. The same place where they sent the reserve team last year, unbeknownst to their supporters… and their opponent, who had planned to face a Ligue 1 club. As a reminder, Metz must face Jeunesse Esch (July 12 in Homécourt), Villefranche (July 20 in Frescaty), the Belgians Francs Borains (Wednesday July 24 in Frescaty), travel to Wiesbaden (July 27) before a match against UNFP (July 31 in Sarreguemines) and a meeting against an opponent to be determined, on Saturday August 3. Who could be Torino, if we are to believe various Italian media. The championship resumes the weekend of August 17, against Bastia in Saint-Symphorien.

Things are moving among the women

There is movement among the women, now coached by Marine Morel. The Metz squad is starting almost from scratch with fifteen departures, including Lucie Calba and Estelle Laurier, a few internal promotions (Celia Remili, Kaylia Rosan, Maria Fodil, Assia Djebli and Kady Coulibaly) and four recruits: Strasbourg’s Julie Genty and Léa Munier – who has already worn the garnet jersey in the past –, Seynabou Mbengue (Montauban) and Anaïs Lambert (Lille).

Among the players who are continuing the adventure are Clara Moreira, Inès Oumahi, Inès Boutaleb, Justine Rougemont, Clara Petitjean, Gillian Nottelet, Assia Bouktit, Luisa Oliveira, Manon Magalhaes and Lisa Jacob.

Lebeau returns to Germany

Having passed through the FC Metz training center, Adrien Lebeau will have experienced from the inside the formidable season of Stade Brestois, qualified for the next Champions League. But the Moselle native, originally from Trémery, will have spent only one season in Brittany. Free at the end of his one-year contract (9 matches in Ligue 1), he signed up in the German third division, at Hansa Rostock.
