The collision occurred during rush hour. This Wednesday, November 27, 2024, an accident involving two light vehicles, a bus and a utility vehicle occurred on the A10 motorway towards Paris near Villebon-sur-Yvette (Essonne).
Three chain collisions
According to our information, a series of collisions occurred following a slowdown. A bus with the Île-de-France Mobilités logo hit a van traveling in front of him. This, in turn, hit a light vehicle which itself hit another car.
According to the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service which dispatched 12 firefighters to the site, the results show four people slightly injured. Hit in the neck, leg or arm, they were transported to Paris-Saclay hospital in Orsay.
The screening tests carried out on the drivers of the four vehicles involved in the accident were proven negative.
Bus driver and two passengers among the injured
In total, around sixty people were affected by this accident. Among them, the bus passengers who were able to leave the scene of the accident thanks to a bus de substitution.
After the intervention of the emergency services, the driver of the damaged bus as well as two passengers reported suffering minor injuries as a result of the collision. When contacted, Île-de-France Mobilités has not yet responded to our request.
The accident which occurred before 9 ha resulted in strong slowdowns for motorists heading towards Paris.
