It's not every day that a media transforms…
And a media that is transformed is a media that lives with the times.
From Monday January 6, 5 a.m., France Bleu, the network of 44 local radio stations, changes its name and becomes “here”. This development marks the culmination of an ambitious transformation launched in 2022 and aimed at strengthening public radio's commitment to its local and local information offering.
“here” is the symbol for Radio France and France Télévisions of the creation of a common brand for the two public service networks. “here” is the promise of 360 media: available on radio, television and on the web.
The collaboration has already started.
Since 2019, 37 joint “ici matin” morning shows have been launched and, since April 2022, the “ici” platform has existed and ranks as the number one Radio/TV brand, with nearly 12.4 million unique visitors per month*.
And even before…
In 1980, Radio France obtained authorization to create 3 local radio stations: Fréquences Nord, Radio Mayenne and Melun FM. 29 others were created from local radio stations managed by FR3 since the end of ORTF in 1975 and 6 were created ex nihilo. The local FR3 radio stations are attached to Radio France on 1is January 1983. Born from a desire to network the territory, the local radio was called France Bleu under the presidency of Jean-Marie Cavada in 2000. There were then 38 radio stations. Today, the network has 44 locations and is therefore preparing to change its name.
