The PACA region also mentioned

Occitanie is not the only region of France to have to deal with these vigilances. This is also the case on the PACA sidewith four departments in yellow and one in orange. The first concerned are Drôme, Vaucluse, Alpes de Haute-Provence and Var. The last, the Bouches-du-Rhône, must be extra vigilant, just like Aude.

Green, yellow, orange, red…

As a reminder, this device “indicates a level of danger of forest fires established from weather forecasts and the dryness of the vegetation”, as Météo France reminds us. The color code used is the same as for the traditional warnings issued the rest of the year: from green to reddepending on the alert level:

  • vert : low danger
  • jaune : moderate danger
  • orange : high danger
  • rouge : very high danger

Forecasters also warned that a “low danger level” does not mean absence of risk fire in the department”. And insisted on a figure: “9 out of 10 lights are of human origin and mainly the result of carelessness.”

What is the weather like this Wednesday in Occitanie?

For this third day of the month, Météo France is forecasting good weather across the entire region, despite big clouds in Lozère.
