What if you spent the summer at Louvre-Lens (Pas-de-Calais)? More precisely in the museum parkor some free entertainment are offered for the whole family, from Saturday July 6 to Sunday 1is September 2024. The opportunity to visit the museum at the same time (plus it’s very cool there!).

Relaxation, art and sport

“Abundant and varied, this new, completely free summer program is designed for all those looking for leisure activities during the holidays,” the museum presents. “Relaxation areas, artistic and sporting activities, festive and participatory highlights” are on the program.

This year of the Olympics and after welcoming the Olympic flame on Wednesday July 3, which will pass through the Louvre-Lens, this new edition of “Parc en fête” is logically placed under the sign of Olympism. “Football, archery, disabled sports, breaks, the season offers you the opportunity to take up or return to sport, to challenge yourself and to discover different disciplines through practice. »

“The relaxing atmosphere around the lake encourages you to settle down on a deckchair, have a picnic with your family, borrow rackets, pétanque balls or a Mölkky game for free. Every day, children can enjoy moments of escape and creativity thanks to workshops, readings and theatrical breaks around the kamishibike, a Louvre-Lens creation,” explains the museum.

Among the highlights of summer, the night of the stars, a neighborhood party with the sounds of Brazil, or even offbeat cycling events. Enough to make the curious want to go to the green setting overlooking the modern building of the museum.
