The birthday party went very wrong. This Saturday, November 23, around 4:30 p.m., two 5-year-old children were seriously burned at a birthday party organized at a private home in Charmes-sur-Rhône, in Ardèche. It concerns a boy and a girl, residents of Charmes-sur-Rhône, who were invited to the birthday party. They were burned in the second degree according to firefighters.
Present on site, the mayor of the town explains that a service provider was doing an activity for the children with methylated spirits. But the game went wrong.
Helicoptered to Lyon
Two Samu helicopters, coming from the Rhône and the Drôme, landed on the town's football field. They airlifted the children to two different hospitals in Lyon. One of them is classified as an “absolute emergency” by the firefighters, the other as a “relative emergency”.
According to the mayor, it is the little girl who is seriously affectedburned on the face but also on the body. The elected official mentions the possible opening of a psychological unit by the Department to take care of the young children who saw the scene. He specifies that the house where the anniversary took place was not affected by the flames.
