The wind returns to Rennes and Ille-et-Vilaine, Météo France places the department on yellow alert

After the cold and the snow, Brittany is experiencing “a spectacular rise in temperatures”, as meteorologist Yann Amice announced tonews Rennes.

But if the mercury is rising, so is the wind. Météo France will therefore trigger the yellow vigilance for wind in Ille-et-Vilaine, from 10 a.m. to midnight, Sunday November 24, 2024.

Gusts up to 75 km/h

It is in Saint-Malo that it will blow the hardest. Already under the blow of gusts ranging from 60 to 70 km/h, Saturday November 23, the corsair city will see this gale strengthen with peaks at 75 km/h.

In the rest of the department, Saturday also saw peaks between 45 and 60 km/h. The wind will increase in intensity on Sunday, with gusts at 70 km/h in Vitré and Fougères, and in 65 km/h in Rennes.

“Be attentive”

“Be attentive” warns Météo France with this yellow vigilance. As every time the wind is strong, it is advisable to exercise caution on the routes and avoid going near trees.

It is also advisable to shelter all outdoor objects and furniture that could fly away.
