SOCIETY / Briançon welcomes a major breakthrough for the high-Alpine industry

– Hautes-Alpes –

On the occasion of the 13th Industry Week, Alp'Médélec inaugurated a new electrical cable prefabrication unit in Briançon. Led by Olivier Regord, the SME continues its diversification and is part of a dynamic geared towards ecological transition. Already established in since 2008, the company now employs nearly 40 employees and operates in various sectors: electrical equipment, connected buildings, photovoltaics and charging stations for electric vehicles. Financed to the tune of €143,000 by the Territoires d'Industrie green fund, this unit represents a total investment of €263,000. Inaugurated by Dalila Zane, sub-prefect of Briançon, it marks a key stage for local industrial development. This project is part of the national Territoires d'Industrie 2023-2027 program, intended to strengthen the attractiveness and innovation in the Hautes-Alpes, in connection with ecological and economic issues. This new momentum benefits from a close partnership between the State, the Region and local authorities, while anticipating the opportunities offered by the 2030 Winter Games. Alp'Médélec thus joins the flagship projects financed in 2024 in the department, alongside Icarius Aérotechnics in Tallard, Gourmeton in Gap and Fromagerie de la Durance near Guillestre. They all embody an innovative, structuring high-Alpine industry committed to the ecological transition.
