The Ile-de-France Region presented this Friday the 12 caricatures which will be studied in high schools from January 2025, at the heart of the new project called “Caricature and democracy”.
From January 2025, an educational project initiated by the Ile-de-France Region will be launched in several high schools. Called “Caricature and democracy”, it aims, through the study of press cartoons, to raise awareness among young people on the subjects of secularism, the right to blasphemy and tolerance.
“We can make fun of everything,” explained Valérie Pécresse, president of the Region on Friday during the presentation of the drawings.
Here are the 12 caricatures that were selected to appear in this kit, developed in collaboration with the Dessinez Create Liberté (DCL) association, itself launched in 2015 by Charlie Hebdo.
