It was cold this Saturday, November 23 at daybreak, in the Loire and Haute-Loire. To the point of recording the coolest temperatures this fall of 2024.
The -8°C mark crossed in Haute-Loire
The prize goes to the Félines meteorological station, in the north of Haute-Loire, where the mercury dropped to -8.1°C this Saturday morning. Until now, temperatures have not fallen lower than -3.8°C in this locality. Elsewhere in Haute-Loire, we also noted -8°C in Chomelix; -7.6°C in Saugues and Les Estables; -7.4°C in Bouchet-Saint-Nicolas and Auvers. No sector was spared from the frosts with the mercury reaching -4°C in the least exposed sectors.
Up to -7.2°C in the Loire
On the Loire side, it was at Chalmùazel-Jeansgnière that it was the coldest during the night: -7.2°C. Here too, it is the coldest night of this fall of 2024 when the mercury has, for the moment, only fallen to -5.2°C. Elsewhere in the Loire, we recorded -6.7°C in Tarentaize and -6.6°C in Saint-Just-en-Chevalet, while other sectors were more spared: -1.4°C in Nadax in the coldest of the night.
