“After the announcement made by the Michelin group, on November 5, of the planned closure of two sites in the Great West, including that of , the prefect of Morbihan wanted to bring together a first strategic committee in the prefecture this Friday, November 22 , bringing together company representatives, economic and institutional players, parliamentarians and state services.
The prefect of Morbihan first assured all the participants of his careful monitoring of the file. As part of its role as guarantor of a fair and equitable procedure, it announced that it had sent an official request to the Michelin company to carry out a social and territorial impact study, measuring the consequences of the closure of the Vannes factory.
Concerned about the future of the site, the prefect and state services insisted on the obligations weighing on the company in terms of finding a buyer, revitalizing and revitalizing the territory. The KPMG firm, mandated to carry out this mission, presented the first elements of the method.
On the social side, the prefect recalled the need to put in place an exemplary support plan.
