With its new restaurant, the revitalization of Place Jean-Jaurès in Nemours (Seine-et-Marne) is off to a good start. It is here, on the site of the old flea market, that the Guillon family has decided to embark on a great family adventure. In the kitchen, I ask for the girl: Marie, with solid experience in catering, having worked at La Durée in , but also at the Mansion du Parc and the Napoléon in Fontainebleau.

In the dining room, I ask the parents, Carole and Didier: “I was a tobacconist in Fontainebleau for 16 years, and my father did the market in the 60s as a flower producer, explains Didier. “It’s a great opportunity that presented itself.”

Their project well in mind, the family therefore launches itself, on the concept of the traditional restaurant, with careful decoration, a cozy atmosphere, and “a menu that will change with the seasons,” explains Marie.

Soon a terrace

Supported on this project by the CCI, the family “looked for a long time for an opportunity in southern Seine-et-Marne. Nemours is buzzing, we feel a new dynamism with the Terrasse du Moulin.”

From the opening, the restaurant already attracts a large audience: “we also have walkers passing through. We hope to be able to have a small terrace on sunny days ».

With its neat decor, its daily menus starting from 21 euros, “Au temps jadis” is off to a good start. The great family adventure has only just begun.

At 15 place Jean-Jaurès, open every lunchtime except Wednesday, evenings from Friday to Sunday. Tel: 09 54 27 20 64.
