The Minister of Sports' Grande Boucle

This November 22, Gil Avérous, Minister of Sports, Youth and Community Life, went to Saint-Dizier to inaugurate active design equipment.

Fight against isolation and a sedentary lifestyle. These are the objectives of the active design equipment set up in schools in Saint-Dizier as well as at the pump track. The Minister of Sports, Youth and Community Life, Gil Avérous, traveling in the Bragarde city on November 22, welcomed these projects. First, he went to the playground of Gambetta primary school where wooden games, floor markings and basketball hoops were installed.

A playground designed to give children the opportunity to invent a multitude of games but also inclusive because these facilities are intended to be accessible to everyone.

Encourage students to move

As a reminder, three Bragardes schoolyards were transformed in 2024, and four in 2023, thanks to active design equipment to encourage students to move more by practicing at least 30 minutes of sport per day within the framework of national policies and local public health. The last eleven courtyards will be developed by 2026.

The playground is intended to be fun and inclusive with these new facilities. –

An apple tree to plant

For the minister's visit, primary school students had prepared six sports workshops for demonstrations. Quentin Brière recalled that Saint-Dizier was an innovative city in terms of sports practice.

The Grande Boucle was inaugurated at its starting point, at kilometer zero. –

“The pumptrack is a demonstration of this since 60,000 people per month use this space.”

As for the eight-kilometer Grande Boucle, it allows you to go around the city, walking, running or cycling. Over the years, it will be enhanced with new activities.

A public health issue
