This year’s Gnaoua World Music Festival served as a platform for deep and visionary discussions. Driss El Yazami, President of the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME), took this opportunity to underline the importance of the joint organization of the 2030 World Cup by Morocco, Spain and Portugal .
“Morocco is preparing, with three other countries, this great event that is the 2030 World Cup. It is important that it be organized in an exemplary manner,” declared El Yazami, insisting on the need for seamless collaboration.
Recalling the crises that are shaking the world and in particular the Mediterranean region, El Yazami illustrated the organization of this event as “an example of peaceful cooperation and friendship between nations. » He thus highlighted the essential message to remember from this ambitious initiative: cooperation between nations as a response to global challenges.
For El Yazami, the time has come for mobilization. “It is important that the authorities begin to seriously prepare for this event and that all societies, social actors, also get to work,” he urged, emphasizing the urgency of concerted action.
Wanting to be optimistic despite a tense international context, he adds: “We are very close to this objective”. However, there have been moments of tension and crisis in our history that have tested relationships between societies. Today, a new page is turning, he declares.
