Following the Draft, the legendary Los Angeles Lakers franchise offered Armel Traoré a “two-way contract” last night.
It is obviously a great first and a huge source of pride for our Club to see one of its players join the NBA, especially at the Los Angeles Lakers where Armel will notably meet a certain Lebron James!
Last summer, Armel chose to leave the Metropolitans 92 with which he had been vice-champion of France to join the ADA project in order to be promoted to Betclic Elite. A winning bet for Armel who was able to show his advantage under our colors by being very consistent in his performances (10.8 points, 7.3 rebounds for 14.8 evaluation).
For our Club, beyond pride, it is also the reward for the strategy carried out for several seasons aimed at giving important responsibilities to young French players.
What is a Two-way contract: It is a contract that allows NBA franchises to secure the services of three additional players in order to develop them in their affiliated development league franchise (G-League). ) but also in the NBA (up to 50 games per season).
