The game of musical chairs is therefore complete. After Christophe Gosselin who passed from Cherbourg to the FCEH, then Matthieu Travers from Cherbourg to Tourlaville, it was Gaëtan Hardouin who decided to cross the swing bridge to come and sit on the équeurdevillais bench, coming from Tourlaville.

The Fcéhist club announced the news this Tuesday, June 25, 2024 on its social networks.

The formalization took a little time due to Gaëtan’s contractual situation. We had to be patient, but we were still able to make progress on certain subjects.

Jean-Christophe Marivaux, president of the FCEH

With the now ex-AST coach, the first contacts have been made a few weeks already. “Christophe (Gosselin) announced his departure to us shortly before the end of the championship. We studied several Manchoise routes, with people who were already in place, but the difficulty is getting people to come to Cotentin. »

“We took our time”

And then the Gaëtan Hardouin opportunity arrived. “We already knew each other a little. We took our time, we met and he signed on to the project. For us, it will be a renewal because Gaëtan brings with him different working methods. And for him, it will be a new challenge», confides Jean-Christophe Marivaux.

On the side of Jean-Jaurès, the new strong man will be in charge of the seniors center and U18s.

If he has already met his players, the technician will meet them again for the resumption on July 29, 2024 in order to prepare them for this new season for which the objective will be simple: maintain the club in Regional 1.

“There have been departures, but we look to the future calmly. Three or four elements will join us and we have a hard core of players who will always be there,” Jean-Christophe Marivaux would like to reassure.
